Nivica NV-SW-1008P-XE-2FU is a professional, compact network switch Nivica, designed for reliable power supply and data transmission in surveillance systems and IP networks.

The device is based on the store-and-forward architecture and features a switching capacity of 2.0 Gbps, a forwarding rate of 1.488 Mpps, a MAC address table accommodating 4 thousand addresses, and a 1.25M buffer memory.

The switch supports key network protocols such as IEEE802.3 10BASE-T, IEEE802.3i, IEEE802.3u 100Base-TX, and IEEE802.3x, offering automatic detection of 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet ports and full/half duplex adaptation in MDI/MDI-X mode.

From the installer's and user's perspective, the device provides versatile connection capabilities thanks to 8 PoE ports and 2 RJ45 Uplink ports, which support transmission over Category 5 or higher UTP twisted-pair cable up to 100 meters (or up to 300 meters in extended mode). The PoE ports supply power using the default pin assignment of 1/2(+) and 3/6(-), with ports 1-6 offering up to 30W max (15.4W average) and ports 7-8 providing higher power up to 60W max (15.4W average). The switch is equipped with clear LED indicators showing the power status (PWR) and network activity (Link/Act) for all ports, and its design allows for desktop or wall mounting.

The device can operate in a wide temperature range from -20 to +55°C and at a relative humidity of 5% to 90% (non-condensing). From the administrator's and installer's perspective, managing the device's operation and tailoring it to specific network requirements is facilitated by the built-in DIP switch switch, which defaults to supporting port prioritization and activates special modes: mode E (AI Extend) allowing transmission up to 300 meters with single-port speed limited to 10 Mbps while maintaining standard speeds on other ports, mode V enabling port isolation and VLAN function for ports 1-8, and mode D activating the AI-PoE network auto restart function (PoE Watchdog), which automatically detects and resolves frozen camera issues, reducing maintenance costs.

The switch is powered by a built-in AC 100~240V (50-60Hz) power supply and features a high level of safety, including ESD electrostatic protection compliant with IEC61000-4-2 (±8kV contact, ±15kV air) and surge/lightning protection according to IEC61000-4-5 (power: CM±4kV/DM±2kV, ports: ±4kV), while also meeting rigorous certification standards such as CCC, CE (commercial and LVD EN60950), FCC Part 15 Class B, and RoHS.
